Natural cooling methods include planting many trees and plants around the home and along the ground. These trees can be of any type, but the deciduous ones provide the maximum shade and cooling effect. Also, the use of satisfactory levels of ventilation is important natural cooling means that can be included in passive cooling systems.

Other cooling systems in passive cooling include envelope design method. This implies a specific way of designing or building the home so as to enable maximum cooling effect. In envelope design, there is a perfect blend of designing pattern and the materials used for building the house. Different cooling methods like air coolers, air conditioners, refrigerated air conditioners and several other means are included in the hybrid category of passive cooling systems. People often use split air conditioners, insulation of walls and water jets at home in order to keep the home temperature at a minimum level.

Passive cooling methods ensure that homes are cooled to a level that it makes people feel comfortable. They are not harsh or extreme cooling systems that can provide any discomfort to the home owners.
