At this point you should already have written down answers to questions which help define yourself as a person and then expressing how it is you like to live and also what drives your day-to-day choices in terms of favorite rooms, your dislikes about other rooms, and how you prefer the functionality of these areas.

And continuing your blueprint to help define how you like to live, below are more questions to add to your plan:

1. Do you like to read and enjoy quiet time? And if reading is a hobby then do you currently have a room designated for this activity? If not then would you consider this possibility in your home decorating design? What about lighting, could the lighting be improved to better suit your reading purposes? If your current reading room does not satisfy you, then what is it about the atmosphere that keeps you from being able to concentrate?

2. Think about greenery. Do you enjoy the idea of having houseplants around the home? Do you currently have plants laid out? If not then consider whether you would like to have flowers and indoor plants placed in areas of the house that would add to the beauty of the atmosphere.

3. Do you work at home? Is this full-time or part-time? What room of the house do you spend most of your time with work? Is there a home office in which you are currently using? If not then what room of the house do you spend most of your time working in? Are you happy with utilizing the living room or your kitchen table for your home business or would you prefer a separate area?

4. What about hobbies? Do you have any hobbies currently and if so, is there a specific area of the home which is completely designated for these hobbies? Are there any activities that you would like to get into in the near future? If the answer is yes, then write down what it is you would like to do in your spare time and consider whether or not you may need a specific part of the house in order to concentrate on this future hobby.
